What is Telematics?
Telematics is onboard vehicle data sent back over the air — position, engine and fault readings, and driver behaviour, where GPS reports position alone.
Example. A hard-braking event and a long idle land in the same feed as the position ping, so a dispatcher can see why a run went late rather than only where the truck stopped.
